Week 1 - Beneficial Beverages

After fasting & resting all night, it’s important to be intentional about the way we wake up our digestive tract for the day. I recommend filling a glass of water and placing it on your nightstand before you go to sleep at night so the first thing you do in the morning is begin to rehydrate.

Another nourishing practice is to begin your day with a detoxifying beverage. This can be as simple as the juice of half a lemon in warm water, some herbal tea, or a teaspoon of raw apple cider vinegar in water. This preps your gut for digestion, enhances detoxification, and hydrates your body with energizing nutrients.

By now you know your water goal for the day: half your body weight in ounces per day, minimum.
